About Mint Mind

My Background

Welcome! I am Andrea Dhillon, founder of Mint Mind Therapy.

    

I help adults facing low self-esteem, confidence issues, depression, and anxiety. My counselling practice helps clients increase self-awareness, build resilience, and make positive changes for a more purposeful and enjoyable life.


Before opening my Private Practice, I spent 17 years assisting people in the corporate sector with mental health concerns like burnout, relationship issues, illness, and work-life balance.  

  

My experiences led me to specialise in providing help through a therapeutic setting. Counselling uniquely offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore thoughts and feelings while respecting each person's individuality.


I appreciate there are many reasons why you may be reading this today. I hope at some point we are able to discuss why you are thinking about counselling and what you hope to get from it.


Through counselling, I help clients build self-awareness, develop resilience, and create positive change—empowering them to live with greater ease, purpose, and enjoyment in everyday life.


What can I help with?

· Depression, Anxiety and Stress

· Lack of confidence and low self-esteem

· Relationship problems such as communication difficulties, conflicts, infidelity, trust issues, or other challenges in relationships.

· Life Transitions whether that is starting university, changing careers, getting married, becoming a parent, or facing retirement.

· Grief and Loss associated with the death of a loved one, divorce or separation, miscarriage, or other significant losses in one’s life.

· Self-Exploration and Personal Growth exploring your identity, values, beliefs, and goals.

· Behavioural Issues such as addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, anger management problems, or other destructive behaviours.

· Work-related Stress such as burnout, conflict with colleagues or supervisors, job dissatisfaction, or difficulties balancing work and personal life.

· Health Concerns such as chronic illness, disability, or other health-related challenges and the emotional impact of the condition.

· Trauma and Abuse providing survivors with a safe and supportive environment to process their experiences and heal from emotional wounds.

· Decision-Making and Problem-Solving such as helping individuals navigate difficult decisions, clarify their priorities, explore options, and develop strategies for problem-solving and goal achievement. 

How do I work?

Providing you with a safe, confidential space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and emotions without judgment is at the core of the process.  


Talking openly can help you gain clarity, move towards acceptance, and develop your own way of moving forward.


I provide both short-term (6-12 sessions) and long-term counselling. Short-term counselling targets specific issues, while long-term counselling allows for deeper exploration of experiences and feelings at your pace.

The cost of a 50 minute session is £60


In person sessions are held at the Eaves in Guildford Thursday's 9am to 1pm.  

Online and Telephone sessions are available Monday to Friday.  Please contact me to discuss available slots.

I offer both short and long-term counselling.  I believe for the therapeutic process to be most effective, sessions are held on a weekly basis.
